Profile
Dr. Sara Damiani is a graduate of the University of Bergamo. She received a PhD at the University of Pescara in 2002 with a dissertation about dreams in modern literature and visual arts. From 2005 to 2013, she coordinated the Centre for Visual Arts of the University of Bergamo and is now the Vice-Chancellor’s delegate for Visual Communication of the same University. She is member of Punctum. Centro Studi sull’Immagine and Balthazar. Polo di studi sul cinema. Her main areas of research include the relationship between visual culture, literature and anthropology. Among her publications: Medusa: la fascinazione irriducibile dell'altro (Bergamo 2001), Locus Solus 4: I volti di Medusa (Milano 2006), (with E. Grazioli and B. Grespi, eds), Fuori quadro. Follia e creatività fra arte, cinema e archivio (Roma 2013).
